As far as Florida Keys wedding venues go, Key Largo Lighthouse Beach is one the most unique wedding venues in all of South Florida. When you choose Key Largo Lighthouse Beach for your wedding, you get more than just a wedding venue, you get an entire property with housing semi-private beach, a tiki bar and so much more. Key Largo Lighthouse Beach is comprised of two separate properties on one location, each with its unique features.
We were hired to photograph Jamie and Jenna's wedding at Key Largo Lighthouse Beach on May 11, 2021 and it was jaw dropping beautiful. The property Jenna and Jamie chose had two multi bedroom homes, a giant white tent with beautiful lighting, tiki bar, private beach and a dock.
The homes were solid construction homes with multiple rooms, beds and kitchen that were perfect for family and guests to stay on property. The groom and his family stayed in one home while the bride and hers stayed in the other. The property had beautifully landscaped areas of picture taking, a volleyball court and a cute little trailer that serves coffee and lattes!
I also noticed there was a lot of available parking and even RV hookups, so anyone coming in an RV can park, hookup to electric and water. A fence separates the two properties and the abundance of trees makes either event private from the other. At the end of the night, while driving out of the property I decided to check the other side. There was another group who also had a wedding at the same time and we never heard them. The other property on the south side of the fence look slightly bigger and one of the homes had an in-ground pool.
I was really impressed with Key Largo Lighthouse beach and it was easy to get to from Fort Lauderdale where Couture Bridal Photography is based. It was an extremely hot day and super sunny with little cloud cover on wedding day. Jenna and Jamie chose to get married in the garden which made for a beautiful wedding ceremony setting, but the bright sun was a challenge to photograph the ceremony. Besides the bright sun, everything was amazingly perfect and it appeared as if Key Largo Lighthouse beach had everything covered from an amazing DJ, to an on-site coordinator. There was also a bar tender that served beer and mixed drinks from the tiki hut bar.
