As the top rated South Florida wedding photography studio serving Key Largo, Florida, we are routinely asked to photograph weddings at a wide variety of wedding venues and locations throughout Key Largo and the Florida Keys. Jenna and Jamie, from Georgia hired us for our unique and artistic wedding photography that isn't your typically cookie cutter wedding photography.
When they booked Key Largo Lighthouse Weddings as the venue to host their wedding ceremony and reception, they are referred to local wedding photographers who routinely provide photography to couples getting married at Key Largo Lighthouse Weddings. Although heavily discounted they were able to identify the difference in style, approach and artistry between our photography and those recommended. Additionally, we had a complete website with lots of photos and information gathered over 12 years of photographing wedding in Florida. They didn't care much for wedding photographers only using social media to display their work and when they discovered us in Google Searches for a "Wedding Photographer", they fell in love with our style.
The Key Largo Lighthouse wedding property is impressive to say the least. The property that Jenna and Jamie chose for their wedding had to large homes that were roomy and well lit. The grounds were perfectly manicured and the beach front and dock was spectacular with views of the Florida bay. There was a large tent for the reception that was well decorated, a bar by the water and great portable trailer bathrooms that are air conditioned. My team and I were highly impressed with the property and would love to photograph more weddings here. The downside was having a wedding during the week meant everything has to shut down by 10pm and the staff don't allow much flexibility off your timeline. We almost missed the sunset due to the venues timeline and long speeches.
Photographers also have to have a one million dollar general liability policy to work on the property and do a formal walkthrough prior to the event. So beware if you're choosing an outside photographer for your wedding here. We do carry a policy and having to tour the property was waived for us.
The wedding day photography was admittedly tough because of the hot humid weather. Its mid May and it was over 90 degrees and super humid. There were clear skies which made photographing the ceremony difficult with the bright sun and intense shadows it causes. Did I mention, it was hotter than the hinges on the gates to hell. It was really really hot and it made the wedding day photography that much harder. I would plan weddings there from November to April when the weather is a lot cooler and usually a breeze. I would assume to keep the place busy from May to August they offer discounts, but that's an assumption.
