As a professional wedding photographer in Fort Lauderdale, the most valuable experience I have over most of the wedding photographers in Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach, is being born and raised in New York City. Having grown up in the melting pot of the United States and a lifetime attending school and interacting with people and friends of various cultures and traditions has served me well as a wedding photographer.
I understand the traditions and customs related to Jewish weddings since I grew up in Forest Hills Queens, which has a large Jewish community. I had many friends of Indian decent and attended their elaborate multi-day Indian weddings. My community also had Vietnamese and Filipinos in the community who I grew up with as well. I've attended many Vietnamese and Filipino weddings in my lifetime too.
The value of having known and interacted with people of different cultures and traditions helps me to understand the meaning and the timing of cultural weddings. This also goes hand in hand with the wedding traditions people follow that having an understanding allows me to create better images and understand what is taking place at any given time of the wedding day.
